Ecosystem Modeller and Research Scientist
Dr Renata Ferrari is an Ecosystem Modeller and Research Scientist at AIMS Healthy and Resilient Reefs Program. With a PhD in Spatial Marine Ecology her skills span conservation science, 3D remote sensing and ecosystem modelling. Renata’s research combines field and laboratory data to predict ecosystem trajectories across space and time. For example, she uses 3D maps to understand the spatial variation in natural rates of recovery and adaptation of coral communities in a warming ocean. Most recently, Renata has been enabling the adoption of 3D tools into reef management, monitoring and restoration programs. In the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program, Renata is a co-leader of the Ecological Intelligence (EcoRRAP) Communities and Ecosystem Adaptation Project.
Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program
