Reproductive Biologist
Dr Rebecca Hobbs is an industry-based reproductive biologist and biobank coordinator at Taronga with more than 10 years’ experience in reproductive endocrinology and sperm cryobiology, from corals to reptiles and mammals. She has coordinated Taronga’s Reef Recovery Program since 2016, providing logistical, technical and scientific support for field programs and research associated outputs. Dr Hobbs is laboratory manager for Taronga’s Wildlife Reproduction and Resilience Centre, a founding committee member and facilitator for Australia’s biobanking network, FaunaBank, a committee member for the global CRC Working Group on Coral Cryopreservation and Repository Building and member of the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER).
Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program
