Zoe Meziere is a PhD candidate in in the Riginos Lab from School of Biological Sciences at the University of Queensland. She has broad interests in evolutionary biology ranging from population genomics, molecular ecology to conservation. Her PhD project focuses on identifying coral cryptic species, clarifying species boundaries, studying the environmental drivers of coral local adaptation and unravelling the molecular basis of thermal adaptation. Using genomic data together with experiments, she aims to improve our understanding of coral adaptive potential facing climate change.
