Jerome Bowen

In his role as Subprogram Lead for Modelling and Decision Support Jerome Bowen works with the Subprogram Manager to ensure highest quality decisions are made throughout the program, as well as directing the complex work of the various subprogram teams and projects.

Jerome is a Director of Adaptus, a strategy & project consulting firm that partners with leaders in business and society to improve ESG performance, understand and respond to the risks and opportunities of the energy transition, and increase resilience to climate change. Adaptus’ focus is on embedding consideration of ESG, carbon and climate risk in the typical capabilities, functions, processes and systems of an organisation, based on the belief that the organisations that succeed in this era of increasing uncertainty are those that most efficiently and effectively adapt to it.

Jerome has 15 years’ experience in project management, management consultancy, change management and business development across multiple sectors including energy & resources, infrastructure, mining, digital, government, natural resource management and international development. Jerome is also experienced in multiple international markets having worked in Australia, Asia, Southern and Western Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

Jerome has consulted organisations at executive level, providing strategic advice, optimising asset investments and minimising business risk through the application of complex decision making, risk and prioritisation frameworks and tools. He is a highly effective communicator and as a qualified engineer and anthropologist he provides unique capabilities in stakeholder facilitation and alignment when solving complex technical problems. Jerome brings to the Modelling and Decision Support subprogram his experience in large project delivery and in founding and building a digital technology company.

His previous customers included The World Bank, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, Shell, BP, Chevron, Akzo Nobel and many others. In Australia these customers include the AGL, Water Corporation, Horizon Power, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, AIMS and CSIRO.
