Ryu is developing mathematical models and methods to optimise the logistics of deploying reef restoration intervention technologies.
This brings together his passion for environmental sustainability with his quantitative academic foundations to tools to inform decision-making for reef restoration.
Ryu is a PhD candidate supported by the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program. He is based in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, supervised by A/Prof. Paul Corry, A/Prof. Kate Helmstedt, and Dr. Mark Gibbs.
He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Technology, Sydney.
