Muhammad Azmi Abdul Wahab

Dr Muhammad Azmi Abdul Wahab is a benthic and larval ecologist, and Research Scientist at the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS). His research seeks to gain a better understanding of biological, ecological and environmental processes that contribute to population maintenance and dynamics of marine invertebrates. He is interested in a broad scope of research questions, which encompasses biodiversity, reproduction, larval and early life-history ecology (behaviour, dispersal, recruitment and responses to stresses), and organism responses to environmental and anthropogenic stressors. Muhammad holds a PhD in marine ecology from James Cook University, and co-leads projects AQ1-001 Optimising coral propagation and AQ1-003 Drivers of survival, under the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program’s Enhanced Corals, Treatments and Aquaculture Sub-Program.
